MMO Slang 101

I understand that meaning of abbreviated terms in the world of MMOs is not always immediately obvious. The word "aggro", for instance. It means, in this context, "aggravation", or "to aggravate". It refers to the act of catching the attention of an enemy or group of enemies, causing them to attack you and/or your teammates.

So when I say "Don't aggro that group, let's focus on this one first so we don't get killed," I mean "DON'T BLAST THAT BOSS IN THE FACE YOUR YOUR SHINY POWERS BECAUSE HE WILL RUN OVER HERE THROUGH THIS OTHER GROUP WE ARE RIGHT BESIDE AND WE WILL ALL DIE AND THE ONLY GOOD THING IS THE SPEED AT WHICH THIS WILL OCCUR AND I HATE YOU."

See? It's all quite clear, really. As someone who has been playing for, according to your Veteran badges, over a year, you should probably already know this.
